Fact: the first person to ever give me the courage to say that I was trans* was an absolutely amazing trans woman who came to speak to my human sexuality class in uni.  She looked absolutely terrified to be there but she put her heart, soul, and life on the line to educate a lecture hall full of stupid kids who mostly took that class for an “easy” A and something to laugh at.
